Girls Take the Lead 2013 Summer Camp

Help girls become successful women this summer at our Girls Take the Lead Summer Camp!

Summer volunteer opportunities will take place Monday through Thursday from July 8th to August 1st. Volunteers have the option to volunteer the whole day or in shifts from 8:30am-12:00pm and/or 12:00pm-4:30pm.

As a Girls Inc. NYC volunteer you will foster an atmosphere of fun and learning while serving as a positive and supportive role model to girls.

Your support will help our girls discover and develop their personal strengths!

A dedicated volunteer reflects on the Girls Inc. of NYC experience:

I participate in the ING Girls Inc. NYC Investment Challenge, which helps girls learn about investing and gives them the opportunity to earn college scholarships with returns on their investments.

I help the Girls Inc. leaders teach the basics of investing to the girls, who will then have a valuable skill their whole lives. I jumped at the chance to be part of a program I would love to have had at their age.

I hope to be a role model by showing that women can have a successful career in the investment industry, one traditionally dominated by men.

The girls are incredibly bright and show so much promise, and it’s an honor for me to play a small role in helping them realize their potential.
